Adsorption Systems
Adsorber systems remove contaminants from liquid and vapor streams for industrial, municipal or commercial applications
Evoqua’s adsorber systems contain granular activated carbon that facilitate the transfer of contaminants onto the media as the vapor or liquid stream passes through one or more vessels. When the contaminant level in the carbon bed reaches the saturation point, the carbon is removed and regenerated at an off-site facility or removed and disposed.
We offer a turnkey carbon program for systems that are permanent and hard-piped. Our service crew mobilizes on-site to remove, package, label and transport the spent carbon in UN/D.O.T.-approved containers. Inspection of the vessel interior and internal distributors is conducted and minor repairs are made. The adsorber is refilled with high quality activated carbon and the spent carbon is transported to our reactivation facilities.
Our adsorber exchange program is a simple and cost-effective way to handle your removable adsorber equipment tanks. When the activated carbon has reached the end of its useful service life and the activated carbon inside is “spent,” your local Evoqua technician delivers fresh carbon tanks to your site. We assist with the spent carbon profiling and acceptance procedures necessary for removal and reactivation of your spent carbon.
